I always have hesitation about posting something negative, thinking that I just didn't read the right book on the right day, or (as is more the case here) I was looking for one kind of book and reading another kind. But I'm always happy to give a writer or a series another chance--the Silva series, after all, has a lot of elements of what I'm looking for in crime fiction--plus I'm always happy to be proved wrong (or prove myself wrong).
Thanks again,
GlennGlenn Harperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04869155065647936216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15258276.post-19796259642386825802008-09-29T08:57:00.000-07:002008-09-29T08:57:00.000-07:00Hi Glenn,Thank you for your thoughtful, albeit sca...Hi Glenn,

Thank you for your thoughtful, albeit scathing, review of Blood of the Wicked.
Ouch.
It pains me to know that my work doesn't give you the pleasure yours gives me.I am, you see, an avid reader of your excellent blog.
If you have the patience to give Silva and his buddies another chance, I'd be happy to send you an ARC of the sequel. It's called Buried Strangers and will be published by Soho Crime in January.
If you decide to take me up on this, I'll need an e-mail address. You can send it to me through my web site.
Best Regards,
LeightonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
