And I started with the SECOND novel in the series, which made my introduction a little confusing. But I increasingly grew to love what a complex character she really is. Her sly, dry sense of humor and sub rosa verbal jabs at her unsuspecting victims were passages I returned to repeatedly. Jackson Lamb is more accessible and immediately entertaining, but Zoë Boehm is richer and more memorable.
