Been a little slow lately

Not many posts lately (traveling too much--for work not play). But I'm currently reading the new Alicia Gimenez-Bartlett novel (I'll report on that soon) and there are copies of the new Karin Fossum and Gianrico Carofiglio novels in English translation on the way (looking forward to those). Anybody else reading any good noir or policier novels at the moment?

I've read some great books recently but not sure if they count as "noir" -- Broken Shore by Peter Temple, Diamond Dove by Adrian Hyland (both Australia), The Coroner's Lunch by Colin Cotterill (Laos), Shadow Walker by Michael Walters (Mongolia). Possibly not uncoincidentally, all published by Quercus.
I'm following behind you, as I'm looking forward to the Fossum and the Carofiglio too. I also have Midnight Choir in my vast pile-- lucky I am about to go on holiday so I can neither be tempted into new books, nor will have any excuse for not reading those I do have.

Having a Havana summer getting hooked on Cuban noir --"discovered" Cuban noir writer Jose Latour and raced through his four books, Leonardo Padura's latest and the two exceptional novels by Arnoldo Correa.

Been reading your blog, which I've just discovered and am thoroughly enjoying and King Suckerman by Pelecanos, which I'm also enjoying.

Your blog is a great resource. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I have just finished reading Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn, very dark and noirish, while i rpeviously read Reasonable Doubts by Gianrico Carofiglio.
The Carofiglio is a much more gentle book but a fantastic read I am sure you will enjoy it.
